Privacy
Prezence is a voice-first relationship app for iOS. It runs on your iPhone and helps you reflect on the people who matter to you. This page describes what data Prezence handles and where.
What stays on your device
- Audio. Voice notes are transcribed by Apple's
on-device speech framework (
SpeechAnalyzer+SpeechTranscriber, iOS 26+). The audio never leaves your iPhone. - Your notes, the people in your circle, your commitments. All stored locally on your device via Apple's SwiftData framework. Prezence does not have a server-side database of your relationships.
What crosses the boundary
To extract structured signals from your voice notes and answer your spoken questions, Prezence sends the transcribed text to Anthropic — the company behind Claude — over HTTPS. The text passes through Prezence's own backend, which runs on Cloudflare Workers (a worldwide edge platform); the backend does not store your notes.
Anthropic processes that text under their standard commercial terms of service:
- No training. Anthropic does not use API inputs or outputs to train models.
- Retention up to 30 days. Anthropic retains API requests for up to 30 days for safety and abuse review, then deletes them.
- No advertising or third-party sharing. Anthropic does not sell or share this data with advertisers.
- Equivalent protections. Anthropic's commercial terms give your data the same protections Prezence applies on-device — no training, no advertising, no third-party sharing.
Anthropic processes requests in the United States. Where Prezence operates under UK GDPR, EU GDPR, or POPIA, the transfer relies on Anthropic's published Data Processing Addendum and standard contractual clauses; a copy is available via anthropic.com/legal.
Your Apple subscription receipt (a signed cryptographic token, not your Apple ID or email) crosses the boundary too — Prezence's backend uses it to verify that your subscription is active. The receipt is verified against Apple's root certificate and cached for up to one hour. Prezence does not learn your Apple ID from it.
What Prezence does not do
- No analytics. No usage tracking, no event funnels.
- No third-party SDKs beyond Apple's own frameworks.
- No advertising. No data sharing.
- No account, no sign-up. Prezence has no user accounts — your data is bound to your device.
- No social network. Prezence does not have feeds, friends, followers, or any social graph.
Your rights
Because Prezence has no user accounts, there is no profile to delete on a remote server. To remove your Prezence data:
- Wipe inside the app: Settings → Reset → Start over. This deletes your on-device store.
- Uninstall Prezence: removes everything on your device that this app controls.
To request removal of any text that may still be in Anthropic's 30-day safety-review window, contact Anthropic directly via their privacy contact (anthropic.com/legal/privacy) — Prezence cannot delete records on Anthropic's side on your behalf.
Children
Prezence is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. The App Store age rating is 12+.
